Whew! We survived the last week and have a lot of catching up to do. Papahawk was at a conference in New Orleans for 6 days where he presented some of his research. He had a good time and saw a lot! While he was there, Mamahawk had her first trial with her supervising attorney and learned so much. It was exhausting, but thrilling all the same. And to make it even better - we won!
Needless to say all of this didn't leave time for blogging - so we are going to get you all caught up here....
What says girls night more than a dance party?!?:
How about dancing in your pjs and rain boats:
Too cool:

Babyhawk was pretending to drive but stopped immediately when the camera came out:
Ms. Babyhawk's forehead met the wall over the weekend when Papahawk was gone and she got a pretty good goose egg:
If anyone can name this tune, I'll send you a dollar:
Babyhawk had some playdates with her good friend A. Not only did A and her mommydaddy (as Babyhawk likes to say) take care of Babyhawk - they also showed her a great time. She didn't want to leave. It was only because of friends like these that we were able to pull this week off. You may notice the quality of the photos... A's mom is the woman behind Paper Boat Photography:

And then Daddy came home. Babyhawk was thrilled and kept saying "Daddy's home" all weekend long. Since we had such stressful weeks, we really enjoyed ourselves this weekend. This meant a lot of time outdoors. We kicked it off right Friday night with a little BBQ and fun in the yard:
This is our new dinner table for the season:
Babyhawk must have had dreams about the fun in the yard b/c we were up at 8 a.m. and back out there running around Saturday morning. That may be why she slept for 3 hours after swimming:

While she was out, Papahawk and I planted our garden. We have beans, lettuce, strawberries and tomatoes:
Then.... Mommy and Daddy went out on a date! We went to the new dueling piano bar here in town. It was a lot of fun!:
Babyhawk got a little road burn on Sunday morning:
Then we took a trip to the arboritum and had a look around:
And then something happened that has NEVER happened before. Babyhawk asked me to pick her up b/c she was too tired to walk any more:
Right now we are having difficulties keeping Babyhawk inside. She has no interest in any of her toys or books and just wants to go out and run run run! It is going to be a fun summer.
Papahawk is going to post photos of New Orleans sometime soon.
If you haven't donated to our Pediatric Stroke Awareness Bowling event and still want to its not too late! We are less than a thousand dollars away from our goal!!
Have a great week!

She is a rock star, complete with the awesome hair and all the right dance moves. Seriously, when can we get together for an E Party?
