Standing in the light of your halo....

Well... I missed the post last week, intending to update on Monday night, but Babyhawk had other plans for us. After a very scary afternoon and two days in the hospital, we have our beautiful little girl back. We are praying that this was a one-time deal, but we are preparing ourselves by learning all we can. We have so many people to thank for their concern and help - we are so blessed!!
Now... material from last week... She is such a big girl!:

Babyhawk was back to her normal self Monday evening, so she got into plenty of trouble stuck in that tiny hospital room. Adjusting the bed:

Thank you for your prayers. Have a great week!

Thank you...

We wanted to thank all of our friends and family for their concerns about Babyhawk's recent hospitalization. Babyhawk has fully recovered from the seizure she had on Monday and is back to her "normal" routine. Thank God for her teachers at daycare who immediately recognized something wasn't right and called me. They are such a great group of girls and I know Babyhawk scared them to death! Thanks also to Uncle Hubie, Aunt Jen and Uncle Phil for taking such good care of all of us in the ER and at the hospital. We have an appointment with the neurologist on Friday when we will find out more about future risk and treatment. We'll keep you posted.
Babyhawk sends you all kisses and hugs!

She's got pipes!

We are having a fabulous football season here. Jayhawks are 5-0, James' 9-10 year old tackle football team the Steelers are 5-0 and the Broncos are 5-0!! Rock Chalk, Go Steelers, Go Broncos!!! (We won't mention Papahawk's Chiefs.... yikes!)

Have a great week.

Movie Day!

We took Babyhawk to her first movie in the theater. We took her to the Toy Story and Toy Story 2 double feature in 3D. This really was kind of a cheat, since she already LOVES her some Woody, which she showed the crowd by reciting some of the words ("He got me!") and singing the songs really, really loudly.

But first, we made Babyhawk do some chores to "earn" her adventure:

Then we started the day of fun.We first went for some pizza from Smashing Tomato - by far her favorite restaurant:
Then we loaded up the "guys" (Woody, Buzz, Rex and Bullseye) and headed to the theater. Got a big tub of popcorn and settled in:

She made it nearly through the first full movie before we had to call it quits. And she refused to wear the 3D glasses, so a lot of it was just a little fuzzy... All in all it was a great time! She took a nice long nap when we got home:

Here is Mamahawk impressing Babyhawk with one of her many talents:

And finally, we (it was a true group effort) finished my office chair today!! And I have the bandaged fingers to prove it... Here is the before shot, in case you missed it and the after!:

Have a great week!
