More Firsts for Babyhawk

It was a wild week and weekend here at the 'Hawk household - some Babyhawk firsts, date night, tons of basketball and a nice stomach virus made for an interesting go. Here is what you need to know:

Babyhawk's first pony tail. It keeps that long hair out of her eyes, although we heard one of her buddies at daycare tried to pull the bow out all day...

Babyhawk's first spaghetti experience. She really liked it and got pretty good at the shovel maneuver to get enough in her mouth:

Here is Baby and Papahawk posing for photos prior to the big game on Sunday. Mamahawk is absent from photos as she was the main victim of the stomach virus.

Babyhawk's first swing! It was just warm enough to get out in the backyard and try it out:

....and finally, this will be Babyhawk's first FINAL FOUR! Go Jayhawks!

Babyhawk's First Easter

Between Easter, Grandmahawk visitng and the good ole NCAA tourney we have a long post, so I'll get right to it.
Babyhawk and the rest of the 'Hawks (that's Grandmahawk) before church:

Babyhawk in the bonnet - she didn't wear it for long! The Easter Bunny wrapped her present this year - I guess since she is too little for baskets and plastic grass:

Happy Baby

Babyhawk's Grandma was in town for the Easter holiday and the two of them had a great time!
Babyhawk was looking a little rough come Sunday afternoon. She was tired from the weekend with Grandma and she is cutting some more teeth...

I was trying to get a shot of her little chompers:

She loves to bounce!:

Tourney Time

Watching the game on a small computer screen just isn't the same - but you gotta do what you gotta do:
I know it is no suprise to those of you who know Papahawk and me, but Babyhawk is way into the tournament... She is taking all of her bottles courtside:
I can't say it enough.... ROCK CHALK!!

Where a kid can be a kid!

Babyhawk started off the weekend doing a little shopping with Papahawk. She was pleased with her big girl seat in the shopping cart:

Then...she had her first big kid birthday party with the one and only Chuck E. Cheese. She was fascinated by the mouse:

(These are all cell phone shots... we forgot the camera all weekend!)

Girls just wanna have fun...

Babyhawk had an exciting playdate this weekend with Baby L, who is 3 months older than Babyhawk. It is remarkable to see how much and fast babies change in the first year. You may remember Baby L from their earlier playdate - click here.... Check out the fun:

Babyhawk loved all of L's big girl toys and L was so good at sharing:

Baby L is good on her feet:

There are benefits to having friends that are both older and stronger!

Babyhawk is wearing her Kimono from her Uncle Dustin and Aunt Vin - which is so comfy and cute! She is fighting the urge to nap in this photo:

SIPPY CUP!! She doesn't get much in her mouth - but she is learning anyway:

Papahawk boxing on the Wii:

And finally.... Babyhawk says HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her Aunt Marli, who will be 23 on Monday! This is their first photo together:Have a great week! Rock Chalk!
