Spring is on its way!

We were supposed to have a pretty awful weekend weather-wise, but Saturday gave us a wonderful break from the rain. Babyhawk and Mamahawk spent hours outside enjoying the sun:

And we did some afternoon reading while keeping up with the tournament games:

Sunday was a different story... cold and rainy. So we had a movie afternoon:

We packed up all of our Jayhawk gear for the offseason. They did a great job - making the sweet sixteen a year after losing all five starters - but we wish we could have left our sign out longer:

What a SWEET weekend!

We first want to share a photo taken by our friend Twin Kennedy from the bowling birthday party last weekend. As I told you... Babyhawk had a blast!:

We had a great weekend again! We played at the play area at the mall Saturday morning because it was a little chilly for outside playtime:

Marli and Jared are here...

Marli and Jared are here visiting and we have been wedding planning and showing them the town (trying to convince them to move near!). Short post this week because we have been so busy.

We had a birthday party of our friend "C" who turns 5 next week. It was a bowling party and although Babyhawk was too young for the main activity she had a blast walking around, cheering for the other kids and carrying her balloon. She called her balloon the "appy baloooo" or "happy balloon" and we sang Happy Birthday all weekend - her new favorite tune! She is quite the party animal - I wonder where she gets that...:

Marli's dog Lola has been a hit with Babyhawk. Babyhawk really loves to cuddle her and hand feed her. Lola has been so sweet and patient:




Marli and Babyhawk had some fun and then worked on the proper placement of a Jayhawk sticker:

The perfect weekend...

What an amazing weekend! It was so warm and we couldn't get enough of outside time! We got ready for sandal time by doing our toes in a pretty pink:

We went on 5 walks this weekend! Babyhawk enjoyed her shades and polka dot jacket:

Notice the polka dot jacket in nearly every photo? She even put it on over her PJs the other night... I don't know what is up, but she is all about it.

What a weekend!

We had a lot of exciting things happen this weekend...

First, we want to congratulate Aunt Marli and Uncle Jared on their Engagement!! He completely surprised her and I can't wait to see the ring in a couple of weeks when they will be visiting...

Welcome to this crazy family Jared, we are looking forward to having you near next year. Here is a photo of the cute couple at the lake where they got engaged today:

And... Babyhawk is now standing up on her feet from the middle of the floor (without pulling up on something or someone...). This is a skill we just started working on last week and TAH DAH! She continues to amaze us:

She had a blast swimming this weekend with the hand-me-down swimsuit she got from her buddy A, which had floaties built right in! It provided just enough float to really get her going:
