Backyard fun...

Babyhawk declared today Hat day. She made sure we were all wearing our caps at all times:

Then we got crazy in the back yard:

And this is why we have a half deflated pool this evening:

She is always saying something...:

Our garden is doing great!:

Congrats to Aunt Marli and Uncle Jared on finding a great house to buy near us! It will be so fun having you all around in the next few years...

Have a great week!

Buenas Noches...

What a great holiday weekend! We spent as much time as we could outdoors (in between rain). We had a pediatric stroke walk on Saturday morning that went great! We met four other survivors and Babyhawk insisted on showing off her walking skills to everyone. I will share photos soon.
Babyhawk loves running through the hose! She also rebeled against shirts this weekend...:

We made cupcakes just because.:

Lots of snuggle time. We were watching "Finding Nemo" -- one of her faves. You know Nemo has a lucky fin just like Babyhawk?!?:

Babyhawk introduced her Aunt Marli Bolt. She enjoyed it until she fell asleep too!:

Aunt Marli read to Babyhawk in Spanish:

Have a great week!

Barking at the Moon...

Here is Babyhawk with her new bestest friend Bolt: (please notice that he is white - not so kind to the mom who has to keep him clean).Babyhawk demanded Paphawk paint her toes this weekend. He did a pretty good job!:

Babyhawk is all about beauty these days...:

Good friends of ours - Holly and Travis - got married this weekend and it was a great date night! The wedding was beautiful and then we got to head out to a horse farm for the reception. Other than a little bit of a chilly wind at the beginning, it couldn't have been a more beautiful night. Here are pictures of the lanterns that hung from the tent - which I just loved - and the scenery from the farm:

Evie's "cousin" J had her first communion on Sunday.... Here she is with Father Chuck:
Sorry about the late post. You all have a great week and enjoy the long weekend!

A post is coming...

I had a vicious headache on Sunday and didn't get around to posting, but I will get some new material up here tonight!

Bowling, tea parties and keeping clean

As you probably all know, this was our big Pediatric Stroke Awareness Bowling Event Weekend. The event went really well, other than the monsoon that slowed traffic to a crawl right before start time. We raised over $5,000 - which was our goal - and everyone reports having a great time! It was a really rewarding experience and we appreciate all that everyone did to help and all that everyone gave to support our cause. We plan to have this event every year, so start practicing for next year!
Paper Boat Photography was there capturing the fun and sent us this little teaser this weekend. More photos later!:

Now some funny stuff from our little rock star. She hosted a tea party the other night with a very big and furry friend:

This is one of her FAVORITE things to do these days:

We have the cleanest garage in town:

Have a great week everyone and thanks again for your support of our cause. Remember to spread the word about pediatric stroke and all of the wonderful things CHASA does for our families. And Happy Mother's Day to all of the special moms in our lives. Hope you kicked your feet up and relaxed for at least a minute this weekend!

Derby Weekend...

We bought some cupcake Jockey hats to celebrate the fastest two minutes in sports:
Babyhawk enjoyed her share of the pink one:

Papahawk fixed us breakfast this morning and Babyhawk really enjoyed her eggs:

We had a LOT of crafting to do for the bowling event next Friday. We are getting very excited!

Awareness pins:

These will eventually be some sort of medal for the event:

Our poster:

Thanks to everyone for their support in our fundraiser this year... We'll have pictures of the event next weekend. May is stroke awareness month so remember to spread the word about stroke's youngest survivors!
