Sorry, no new material this week. We had a busy one - so I thought I would share a little video from last year.
As you all know, we found out Babyhawk had a stroke in February of 2008. We were told many many things she wouldn't be able to do or that she would struggle with and it was the beginning of a long fight.
In February of last year, Babyhawk started walking, months before anyone said she would, and hasn't looked back since:
And you all know where she is at this February - jumping off curbs and beds, running and running and dancing like there is no tomorrow. Can't wait to see what she is doing next year!
Taking care of Mamahawk when she was under the weather this week:
She is Papahawk's trainer:
The new cheez-it commercial with Big Jay is a hit in our house. If you ask her what Big Jay is doing in the commercial she responds "Rock Chalking!" Duh.:
Have a great week and congrats to Kristie and Brendan on news of their baby on the way! We can't wait to meet him/her in a few months!!
A little bit of tumbling. We have to keep reminding Babyhawk not to do somersaults on the tile!
Freestyle!!:
Papahawk took Babyhawk out to play in the snow... That is Papahawk's rendition of snowmen behind her. He named them Marcus and Markieff (for you non-kansas fans - they are the twin big guys that play for the Jayhawks...):
The photographer (and friend) who has taken beautiful shots of Babyhawk her entire life also has a blog of daily inspirational "tea times." She wrote an entry about Babyhawk on her site which includes a gorgeous photo... Check it out, she is featured in Tea Time No. 21 at Teaworthy.com - click here!
Another week, another adventure for the 'hawk family... This past week we started dance class! It is ballet, tumbling and tap. Babyhawk enjoyed it very much - she cried when we had to leave... Her recital will be the first weekend of June:
Babyhawk is really into dress-up play lately. Especially making her own costume combinations. Here is a favorite - Fairy lion on a rainy day: And finally, some evidence of why Mamahawk is barely sane some days:
We only have one photo to share this week... Our camera is being repaired - or replaced :) - so we only have our phones to record every second of Babyhawk's life...
She wore this practically all weekend:
Unfortunately it didn't bring our boys the luck it needed to, but she is still awfully cute!
