Snow day!

We had quite an ice storm Tuesday Night/Wednesday morning, so we got a snow day! We are thankful that we still have power...
You should always wear proper lounging snow day attire:
The icing:

We lost quite a few branches off of our trees and I'm afraid our spiral weeping willow may not recover:

Then... it started to snow more!:

Babyhawk suited up in her bibs and big winter coat and went out to explore:

We don't have a sled so we improvised:

No babies were hurt.... the snow broke her fall!
Stay warm!

Pow-Pow-Power Wheel

It has been quite a week. Babyhawk has been walking so much! She took about 20 or so steps on Saturday at the basketball court.
She cracked up the entire congregation at church today. She has a habit of yelling "Yeah" and clapping for things she really enjoys and there were a couple of songs the choir sang today that she was really digging. YEAH! At the top of her lungs... embarrassed mom... embarrassed dad... tickled congregation.
After church she cuddled up with Gibson. She has been really into wrapping her "babies" up with blankets and rocking them. It is too sweet:

Nap time was an adventure today. Sinatra got too close for comfort:
That's better:

Babyhawk had to get really bundled up today for her walk with the dogs:

We have been trying to occupy ourselves inside because of the frigid temperatures. We got Babyhawk this Mini-Quad Princess Powerwheel. Don't bother leaving a comment. We know she is spoiled. They, conveniently, placed the "go" button on the right side so we can write this toy off as therapy... She is still getting the hang of it:

And a few parting words:

Have a great week!

Baby its cold outside....

It was cold this weekend so we did a lot of inside activities.

Coloring:

Riding our bike:

And looking cool:

Babyhawk had her 18 month check up and all is well. She is still really tall - but no longer baby Shaq - and her weight has hit a plateau, but the Doc says that is normal for a busy toddler...

Have a great week and Rock Chalk!

Must see TV...

Babyhawk is walking!! She has actually been doing this for a couple of weeks, but it has been hard to catch on video because she only does it when SHE really wants to!

Babyhawk caught a cold this week:

We took her seat out of the car for some routine cleaning and maintenance and she had a BLAST pretending she was riding in the car. She sat there, buckled up, for nearly an hour saying "weeee!"... Why do we even buy toys?!?
Have an awesome week everyone! Rock Chalk!

Starting 2009 off right...

Babyhawk's fortune: We had some folks over to watch some football this weekend, which was a great opportunity for L and Babyhawk to get together once again for a playdate:
It got crazy:

Babyhawk realizes now that you can look at the photos and watch the videos on the back of the camera and is really reluctant to let us film or photograph anything... so it has been a challenge lately. But, here are two short clips of her latest tricks:

Have a great week and start of 2009...

The Joy of the Holidays!

We have had such a great holiday! Lots of time off of work and school and so much fun! We'll start the post with photos from Aunt Steph and "Uncle" Josh's visit right before Christmas. Babyhawk was in quite a mood and wouldn't let Steph look at her, let alone hold her or play:

She did, however, enjoy watching herself in her Christmas program... over.. and over.. and over:

We had a movie afternoon. Babyhawk really enjoyed her little bowl of popcorn:

Later, during the movie, I heard a thunk and looked over... Babyhawk had fallen asleep in her high chair. She slept there for about an hour:

We got super crazy one night:

And got to open a gift early:

Then we got cleaned up for Christmas Eve Mass. She did her trademark "orange juicer" dance to all of the Christmas Hymns:

Babyhawk was so excited for Santa that she pretended to be asleep during the car ride home:

Christmas morning!:

Opening gifts really takes it out of you:

Babyhawk got three new babies, in addition to the one she already had so she had baby parties all weekend:

The week finally caught up with Babyhawk after her Sunday afternoon walk... she is still asleep as I type this...:

Have a great week and be safe while celebrating the New Year. Rock Chalk!
