Last of the 2009 material...

This is Babyhawk and her buddies B and J at B's second b-day party. They had a great time!:
Babyhawk and her BFF "Lee-lee" at the Christmas program:
We actually got some snow! Babyhawk had a blast and is waiting for more so she can "fix" her melted snow-lady:

Marli's dog Lola was visiting for the weekend and LOVED the snow:

I'll give you a dollar if you can translate the "name" of the snow-lady:

She loves to play Guitar Hero with Dad, but she thinks it is called Rock N Roll Face... hilarious:

We made some treats for the neighbors. Babyhawk was in charge of the sprinkles.... very festive:

We made some cookies for Santa. Again, with a lot of sprinkles:

Taking a Christmas Eve nap. Babyhawk had a fever on Christmas Eve and Christmas day upwards of 103.9.... she was happy but a little pathetic. Lots of naps, lots of juice and lots of baths... She thankfully bounced back beautifully after the holiday:

Handing out presents:

Opening presents!:

Me and Papahawk in our new KU gear. (Thanks mom and dad!) We will put it to good use next week when we get to go to the game in Knoxville!:

A private conversation with the tree:

Chatting with Santa before bed:

Babyhawk was more interested in the fact that Santa ate ALL of the cookies and Rudolph ate most of the carrots than the awesome easel that was left for her...:

Trying out her new painting easel... for a minute or so. Then bathtime! One of several throughout the day:

One of Babyhawk's sick moments on Christmas day:
Snuggling Lola (and Hans!):

Playing techmo bowl with the guys:
She insisted on wearing Jared's vest while playing...:
Another down moment:

I think Presley had a bug too... poor guy!:

Uncle Jared teaching her some engineering math... makes my head hurt:

Then Babyhawk's Nana, Grandpa, Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Gosh (Josh) came for a visit. We had a blast. Babyhawk loved her gifts, especially her very own snow white dress:

And she was able to convince Nana and Grandpa to play Rock N Roll Face all night long:
We are without a camera for a couple of weeks while it is repaired, but we will try to snap some iPhone photos to share next week...
Have a happy and safe start of 2010!! Rock Chalk!

More Costa Rica, Babyhawk's adventure and Ugly Sweaters...

Living the pura vida:

And now... Babyhawk's fun:

And... I won the second annual Ugly Christmas Sweater party prize this year at Brendan and Kristie's!! Even had working lights, which I had to turn off later in the night b/c they got so hot they were burning my skin. Babyhawk LOVES her new Santa friend. Conversation last night "Mommy, do you think Santa is hungry?": Have a great pre-Christmas week!

Thanksgiving photos...

Don't think Babyhawk didn't have her own vacation while we were in Costa Rica! Her cousins came to visit with her Uncle Rory and the crew spent their time up at Marli's house. Here are some photos:
Marli, Jared, Lola, Hans and the kiddos:

Babyhawk and "JJ." The two were either best friends or boxing opponents depending on the day and what toy was involved:

The whole crew hanging out:
Some private moments between Babyhawk and Marli's dog Lola. Babyhawk is obsessed with this dog - the poor thing can't get away from her. The funny thing is, Marli had this same love for our dog, TJ, who was the same breed, when she was about Babyhawk's age:
Have a great weekend!

Costa Rica appetizer and Riding the Pony..

We got back from Costa Rica yesterday afternoon, and everything has been busy since. Babyhawk was almost as excited to see us as we were to see her. It is great to be home.

Here is a little "appetizer" of Costa Rica photos:

And now... your Babyhawk fix for the week! We took Babyhawk and "My Geema," as she calls her, out to see the Southern Lights at the Horse Park last night. They have a petting zoo, camel rides, pony rides and Santa. Babyhawk didn't care too much for the petting zoo. Listen carefully for her new catch phrase "Aww Man!":

She was also scared of the big man in red - which was expected. She did enjoy random dancing:

And riding the pony:

She kept saying "I was ridin the pony!" all night after we left....
I hope you all have a good rest of the week. We have great photos of Babyhawk and her Thanksgiving with her cousins and Uncle Warwee (Rory) and of course more Costa Rica pics. I will get more photos up here as the week goes on!
