We got our Christmas tree on Saturday and got it all decorated Sunday afternoon. Babyhawk had a blast picking out the best tree. We packed her in the Snugli and let her do all the choosing. Here she is with her tree:

Babyhawk had her 4 mo. well baby check up today and needless to say it was ROUGH. An hour

She was 14 lbs 4 oz and 25 1/8 in.

There's no place like home....

Babyhawk made her first trip across the country to the land of Jayhawks and sunflowers. She was a complete angel in the car (both ways!) and really enjoyed meeting some of her family that she hasn't met before. I am kicking myself for not digging my camera out on Thanksgiving day when Babyhawk met the D. family (Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, 2nd Cousins, Dog cousins!). She had a great time and got some great love from her cousin N who is a year older than her. Papahawk and I had a great time with the whole crew, as always. Babyhawk also got to meet her Aunt S. for the first time!:

She had a blast with Aunt S. Papahawk was a little rowdy in preparation for his trip to the biggest football game in Jayhawk history:

Babyhawk also got to see her Grandma and Grandpa S. She enjoyed snuggling with Grandma in the chilly weather! (Babyhawk saw her first snow, but the camera died so we didn't get to capture it. She was very curious...):

Babyhawk sends her thanks and love to Aunt M. who really made the trip possible and hung out with her while Papa and Mama got some shopping done on Friday! Papahawk also needs to thank Aunt M for the ticket to the football game and for going along with him. Although it didn't turn out the way they had hoped, Papahawk had a BLAST! Who would have thought we would have had the season we did...11-1 and a great bowl game to come!

What a weekend!

Babyhawk's Grandma, Great Grammy and Uncle D came to visit for the weekend. It was a short visit, but it was so good to see them!

Uncle D was a hit with Babyhawk right from the start...

Final Farewell to Babyhawk's First Halloween

Babyhawk had a great first Halloween, attending a couple of parties and trick-or-treating at mamahawk and papahawk's work... We do need to share photos of her second costume. Babyhawk thought it would be too difficult to explain who Elvis was to her classmates, so she opted to go as a princess ballerina for her school party:
